Learning Center
For the Parents
At McRae-Gaines Learning Center, we value parents as essential partners in their child’s education. We keep families informed, engaged, and supported through regular updates, parent-teacher conferences, workshops, and community events, ensuring strong school-home connections.
We provide resources tailored to family needs, from learning tips to support services that help reinforce education at home. Through our parent portal, newsletters, and open communication, we create a collaborative environment where parents feel confident and involved in their child’s success.

Special Programs & Enrichment
Beyond academics, students explore music, dance, art, STEM, and physical education to develop creativity and confidence. Our Special Development & Autism Program provides specialized instruction and support for children with developmental delays.

Parent Involvement & Communication
We keep families engaged through parent-teacher conferences, workshops, newsletters, and our parent portal. With open communication and regular updates, we ensure parents stay connected to their child's progress and school activities.

Academic Excellence
Our "Pathway to College" curriculum builds strong skills in reading, writing, math, and science, following Alabama Early Learning Standards. With small class sizes and hands-on learning, we prepare students for success in elementary school and beyond.

Tuition & Financial Assistance
We offer tuition assistance through DHR and our Wallace Community College Selma partnership, making quality education accessible to all families. Our team helps guide parents through financial aid options to ensure every child has the opportunity to thrive.
